Bowel Cancer UK
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. It is determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a grant of £5,000 to support the charity to produce and disseminate colorectal cancer health information.
Breast Cancer Now
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s most comprehensive breast cancer charity. It is steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. They exist to provide support for anyone affected by breast cancer. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a grant of £7,000 to support their Living with Secondary Breast Cancer Online programme.
HEART UK – The Cholesterol Charity
HEART UK’s aim is to prevent premature deaths caused by high cholesterol. HEART UK is committed to raising awareness about the risks of high cholesterol, lobbying for better detection of those at risk and supporting health professional training. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided sponsorship of £25,200 for membership of HEART UK’s CVD Collaborative Group, and a grant of £14,000 to support the charity’s Annual Conference. In addition, an honorarium of £252.50 was provided for speaker fees to participate in the National FH Nurse Forum Meeting.
ITP Support Association
The ITP Support Association is a UK registered charity which aims to promote and improve the general welfare of patients, and the families of patients with immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a sponsorship of £10,000 for the ITP Roundtable Project for the development of ITP shared decision making materials and, in addition, a sponsorship of £10,000 in support of the ITP Support Association Convention 2021 to provide awareness and education for patients, caregivers (and HCPs) to help manage ITP and improve quality of life.
Leukaemia Care
Leukaemia Care exists to provide vital care and support to all those whose lives have been affected by blood or lymphatic cancer. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a grant of £5,000 to support the charity’s expansion of their core services available to blood cancer patients and their families.
Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support is the UK’s leading charity supporting people affected by and diagnosed with cancer. In 2021, staff at Amgen Ltd (UK) held a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Amgen Ltd matched the amount raised in the amount of £575.
Myeloma UK
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. The charity is dedicated to myeloma patients – making sure they get access to the right treatment at the right time. It strives to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education and raising awareness of myeloma. In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) supported Myeloma UK with a grant of £30,000 to support a multiple myeloma core support programme plus a sponsorship of £10,000 for a team from AMGEN UK to participate in Myeloma UK’s London to Paris Bike Ride fundraiser.
Psoriasis Association

The Psoriasis Association is the leading national charity and membership organisation for people affected by psoriasis in the UK.In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided £1,500 relating to corporate membership of the Psoriasis Association for 2021-2022, as well as £690 for speaker fees for an Amgen Ltd (UK) sponsored symposium held at the 30th Annual British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) Conference.
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to helping everyone affected by the disease.In 2021 Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a grant of £7,500 to develop route maps for people with lung cancer to provide an introduction on the role of mutation testing and genetic drivers in planning treatment for those with the disease.
The Royal Osteoporosis Society
The Royal Osteoporosis Society (ROS) is the only UK-wide organisation dedicated to finding a cure for osteoporosis and improving the lives of everyone affected by it.In 2021, Amgen Ltd (UK) provided a grant of £30,000 to support the ROS public affairs and advocacy plans for 2021; sponsorship of £2,750 towards five clinical network meetings; and £404 honorarium for an ROS representative to participate as an expert panellist at a virtual webinar focussing on opportunities to reduce the risk of people experiencing an osteoporotic fracture.
Asthma and Lung UK
The mission of the Taskforce is to prevent more people from developing lung disease, and to transform the care of people living with lung disease in the UK. It does this by promoting a strong voice and cohesive action. The Taskforce for Lung Health is a collaboration of organisations and individuals who have come together to improve the nation’s lung health. It is made up of patients, health care professionals, the voluntary sector and professional associations. An Industries Forum, which works alongside the Taskforce, includes representatives from pharmaceutical, diagnostics, devices and digital industries. In 2021 Amgen Ltd (UK) provided £15,000 in sponsorship to support the Taskforce to campaign for the implementation of policy recommendations around lung health and to raise awareness of lung disease, its causes and effects.

PNH Support aims to promote, protect and preserve the physical and mental health of those diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria ("PNH") who reside in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (either permanently or temporarily) through the provision of support, education, advocacy and practical advice. In 2021, Amgen GmBH (Europe) provided an honorarium of £101 to learn more about the disease state, patient journey and the key topics of concern for patients.
FH Europe
FH Europe – The Familial Hypercholesterolaemia Network is actively working together to secure early identification and diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH) to prevent early cardiovascular disease. In 2021, Amgen GmbH (Europe) provided grants of £40,000 towards the “FH paediatric screening” project and £30,000 towards “Many faces One Heart” project and, in addition, a sponsorship of £10,000 for an industry roundtable to discuss early identification of patients.
Myeloma UK
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. The charity is dedicated to myeloma patients – making sure they get access to the right treatment at the right time. It strives to improve standards of treatment and care through research, education and raising awareness of myeloma. In 2021, Amgen GmbH (Europe) provided sponsorship of £8,000 for a team of 8 riders to participate in the Myeloma UK London to Paris bike ride fundraiser.
